Principals

Bob Dekker and David Cronin first met in 1992. At the time, Bob was in the process of interviewing contractors in connection with the gut/rehab of a 120 year old home in the Lincoln Park/DePaul area of Chicago that he and his wife had recently purchased. With little more than a handshake and a rough set of drawings that Bob had prepared for himself, they quickly reached agreement on the terms and scope of the project and laid the groundwork for their future collaboration.

Coming from very different backgrounds and work experiences, David and Bob each brings a specific set of complementary skills to their partnership. For the past 20 years, David has been both a resident and a property owner/manager in the Bucktown neighborhood. He draws on a vast knowledge of high-end construction and renovation, further enhanced by his ability to work hands on in most areas of construction. Bob brings comparable expertise in finance and general management, with over 20 years experience as an investment banker and entrepreneur. Bob's passion for real estate is reflected in the several homes he has rehabbed for himself as well as his status as a licensed real estate broker.

David is a lifelong Chicago area resident, receiving his BA in Finance and Entrepreneurial studies from University of Illinois at Chicago. Originally from Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Bob has lived in the Chicago area since 1986. He is a graduate of Denison University with a BA in Economics.
